Bright City Books

Project:
These drum scans were made from vintage 11" x 14" black & white archival prints from the Library of Congress, for a book about architect Morris Lapidus and his iconic Fontainebleau hotel, by BrightCity Books, produced for the grand re-opening in Miami Beach after the hotel's $2.6 billion renovation. The prints were drum scanned directly, and the resultant scans were then carefully adjusted to match the originals.

Caren Alpert

Project:
Commercial drum scanning and color corrections for photographer Caren Alpert's beautiful custom-designed promotional mailer. The originals were transparencies and negatives of several film formats. Once drum scanned, and working directly with Caren to achieve the color she was looking for, we then completed the CMYK color conversions according to her printer's specifications, and color matched the images closely to Caren's original transparencies or sample prints.
